[Warning: After some updates, this guide may be outdated, use at your own risk of wasting time lol]
Got some family members or a friend that wants to play with you, but they dont want to join with other players globally? A LAN server is for you then!
Why do this?
Because if you want to:
- Play with friends and family.
- Test out mods with people on your internet
- Just overall fun and testing
If you do want to do this, lets go a small bit in depth! Of course this may take some time, but as long as you follow my steps this can be a piece of cake!
Now lets get started with the details:
- Go to file explorer and go to the following file path: This Pc > (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Unturned
- Then right click the unturned file and click “Create Shortcut”
- Right click the shortcut and go to “Properties”
- At the end of the target list, add a space and copy and paste nographics -batchmode +secureserver/[Your Server Name]
- You MUST Launch the server afterwards or the assets might not load up properly
- Now go to This Pc > (C:) > Program Files (x86) > Steam > steamapps > common > Unturned > Servers > Insert Name > Server, Then open up Commands.DAT in notepad
- For starters do the following [ it is case sensitive ]: map PEI, maxplayers 12, perspective both, pvp, mode easy.
- Open your server one last time.
- Enjoy your lan server!
